Serving Grand Rapids, Holland, Grand Haven, Kalamazoo, East Lansing, Muskegon & Beyond
VanDerKolk Painting was founded in 1991, beginning as a residential painting service based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We rapidly expanded our services to provide for all the painting needs of our clients and customers, and we expanded the areas we provide service to. Today, we offer a variety of painting and related services to clients throughout West Michigan, including the Kalamazoo area.
We aim to provide our clients with the highest quality paint jobs and an unmatched customer service experience. One of the biggest differences between us and our competitors is that we employ our painters as full-time employees, and we never work with contractors. This gives us more flexibility and control over our scheduling, and it enables us to closely match the painter with the right experience and skill set for your job. We employ painters who have certifications in areas such as RRP lead paint removal, lead paint abatement, and aerial lift platform training, ensuring safety for anyone onsite when your project gets done.
The first time you’ll experience our customer service is when you schedule your free estimate, and we strive to make every encounter you have with our team a great experience. A member of our team will come out to your location to assess your project, answer any questions you have, and provide you with our transparent pricing. We’ll keep you informed about the progress of your project every step of the way, and when the job is complete, we ensure your satisfaction by providing a warranty on all our work.
At VanDerKolk Painting, we started out with residential painting as our area of expertise. As we’ve grown our team to meet our customers’ needs and reach broader areas, we’ve expanded to include commercial and industrial painting services as well. We’ve painted a huge range of commercial buildings, from office buildings and complexes to highly intricate churches that are over 100 years old. We can paint all kinds of industrial spaces, from warehouses and factories to farms. Our industrial painting skill set extends to heavy equipment as well. No matter what your job entails, we’ll work with you to personalize our work and tailor our services to your needs and specifications. We’ll begin by preparing your space to protect all your surfaces and end with smooth finishes on your freshly painted surfaces. We look forward to serving you with all your painting needs!
Factories and industrial buildings are typically large and painting projects may have many components. We can paint your factory from top to bottom, including the interior, exterior, and any equipment you may need to be painted.
Agricultural buildings and equipment face damage over time from constant exposure to the elements, dirt and grime, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and wear and tear from hard use. Help keep underlying surfaces protected with paint that’s made to stand up to the job, and keep your buildings and equipment in commission for years.
Whether your church is a hundred years old with intricate architecture or a modern megachurch, your church painting project will have some unique features and challenges. Our painting team has the experience to take on church painting projects that are highly detailed and large in scope, and we’ll customize our work to suit your needs.
Keep your office building looking professional and beautiful with a fresh coat of paint. A well-maintained building with an up-to-date paint job makes a great impression on clients and customers and boosts the morale of your employees.
Concrete floors are versatile and low maintenance, and they can be finished in a number of ways to make them highly personalized. We offer concrete floor painting, staining, polishing, epoxy, and other concrete floor coatings. For factory and industrial buildings, we can paint on safety lines as well.
Some surfaces require intensive cleaning and preparation before new paint can be applied. We offer sandblasting services to remove rust, corrosion, dirt, grime, and old peeling paint to create a smooth foundation that is optimal for new paint to adhere to.
Trailers and other equipment that spend lots of time outside and on Michigan roads face exposure to substances that can cause harm to unprotected surfaces over time. Keeping paint chip-free helps protect against water, salt, and grime to prevent rust and corrosion.
We paint heavy industrial equipment of all types and sizes, whether it’s for your warehouse, industrial building, factory, or farm. Having your equipment painted can enhance safety, keep your equipment in good working condition, and improve the way your industrial space looks.
Complete your factory painting project by having presses of all types and sizes refinished. We use a durable and glossy enamel coating that will look great, and your press will be safe to use the very next day.
Kalamazoo, Michigan is a city located in southwest Michigan, about an hour south of Grand Rapids and an hour north of the Michigan-Indiana border. The name “Kalamazoo” comes from a Potawatomi word. Europeans first settled the area in the 1700s due to its location on the Kalamazoo River, which was optimal for the fur trade. The area today is mostly urban and suburban. Kalamazoo has featured a diverse array of businesses and industries over the years. Notably, Kalamazoo was the original home of Gibson Guitar Corporation, and at one point it supported enough paper mills to earn the title “Paper City.” Although the population has decreased slightly in recent years, Kalamazoo has lots to offer, including museums and attractions, great shopping, craft beer, and entertainment.
