Serving Grand Rapids, Holland, Grand Haven, Kalamazoo, East Lansing, Muskegon & Beyond
VanDerKolk Painting has been serving West Michigan for all its painting needs for over three decades. We began in 1991 as a residential painting company based out of Grand Rapids, and we’ve grown over the years to include commercial and industrial painting as well.
We set high standards for ourselves in everything we do, from the painting services we provide to our customer service. All of our painters are full-time employees, and we never work with contractors, which has a number of advantages for our customers. We have more control over our scheduling, meaning we can get the job done in a time frame that will work for you. We also have the ability to match the painter to the job according to skill set and experience so that you get the best quality of work possible. Our painters have certifications in a number of areas, such as RRP lead paint removal and aerial lift platform training, ensuring safety for everyone on the scene.
You’ll first experience our customer service when you schedule your free estimate for your project. We’ll assess your site, learn about the details of your project, answer any questions you have, and provide you with transparent pricing - without using pushy sales tactics. Throughout the course of your project, we’ll keep you informed about what to expect. When the job is complete, we ensure your satisfaction by providing a warranty on all our work. We look forward to serving you with all your painting needs!
Our team can take on a diverse range of painting projects. From residential painting to big commercial and industrial projects, we’ve done it all. We can have a large team come out to paint your factory, warehouse, or farm from top to bottom, or we can bring your heavy equipment back to our facilities to minimize disruptions to your workflow. Our painting process begins with preparing your space to create smooth surfaces for the new paint to stick to and protect surfaces you don’t want to be painted. We value your feedback throughout your project, and we’ll ensure you’re happy with the final look. When we’re finished with the painting, we’ll clean up your space and leave it looking as good as new. We hope you enjoy the new finish on your freshly painted surfaces!
Factory painting is a big project with a lot of components. It can be easy to put it off, but painting your factory building and equipment has many benefits, such as improved safety for workers and increased longevity of your equipment. We’ll get the job done right as quickly as possible to get your space and equipment back up and running in no time.
Painting your agricultural equipment and buildings as part of your regular maintenance maximizes the lifespan of surfaces that are regularly exposed to the elements, dirt, grime, and hard wear and tear. Have agricultural equipment repainted when you notice cracks and chips to prevent rust, corrosion, and decay.
The exterior of your building is the first chance you get to make a great impression on visitors and guests. Whether you’re painting your home, office, or industrial building, give your exterior curb appeal and a welcoming appearance. Plus, our premium exterior paints will give the outdoor surfaces of your building some protection against the elements.
Concrete floors are a versatile, low-maintenance option in a variety of spaces - and they can be finished in a number of ways to create just the look you want. We offer concrete floor painting, polishing, staining, epoxy coatings, and other specialized coatings. In industrial spaces, we can finish off your floors with safety stripe painting as well.
Surface preparation is an important first step in many painting projects to create the best foundation for new paint to stick to. Sandblasting removes dirt, grime, rust, and old paint to create a smooth surface.
When environmental and other concerns prevent the use of sandblasting, there are other techniques we can use to get your surfaces ready for new paint. We offer wet sandblasting and dry ice blasting, and we’ll advise you about which service is the best fit for your project.
Industrial and sprinkler pipes require care and attention when it comes to painting. Color coding enhances safety in your building, and specialized coatings must be applied to exact measurements. We have fast turnaround times for industrial pipe painting so that you can get your pipes back in commission quickly.
Trailers that spend a lot of time outside and on Michigan roads are often exposed to the elements, dirt, and chemicals that can cause rust and corrosion over time. Keeping paint chip and crack free protects your equipment from damage.
In addition to other types of heavy equipment, we’re experienced with painting mechanical boom lifts and scissor lifts to keep them in tip-top shape. Whether you just have one or you have an entire fleet, we can take on your mechanical lift painting job.
Presses can get messy over time, and grease and other materials can take their toll on the paint that protects your presses. We can paint presses of all types and sizes, giving them a shiny enamel finish.
